In the installation "Invisible Act" a silver ball balances on a moving strip of celluloid in front of a projector’s beam of light. Empty frames run through the projector, which create a white rectangle on the wall. In the white frame a shadow is casted by the projection’s exposed mechanics. You see the outlines of the ball’s balancing act and the filmstrip’s continuous motion. The absence of a projected image causes the focus to shift to the material, thus heightening the sculptural effect. Through the incessant, monotonous movements of projector, film, ball and flickering light image, the work develops a visual representation reminiscent of the mechanics of cinema.
