Hear, There, Where the Echoes Are is a piece that testifies to the most sculptural and performative dimension of Barba's oeuvre. Several projectors are orchestrated for a synchronized light projection activated by a live sound performance of drummer Chad Taylor. The light beams echo the beat in a choreography that seems to disassemble the cinematic device and dissolve the image. However, the latter is conjured up in another way and another space. As the title suggests, the image appears Hear, There, Where the Echoes Are as the instant intersection of the installation, the architecture, and bodies passing through.
