"Blind Volumes" is an installation originally commissioned and conceived for Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt. Following the exhibition in Frankfurt, "Blind Volumes" has been installed in an adapted indoor version at Malmö Konsthall, within the exhibition Rosa Barba – Elements of Conduct. The structure made up of 80 similar steel frames functions as a platform and vertical stage for a number of spatially arranged works and simultaneously is able to interact with the volume of the exhibition space and the singularity of its architecture. With its title inspired by Borges’ Library of Babel it functions as a container of the fictional possibilities and narratives that might be encompassed by an invisible volume.
